FutureThink was founded in 2010 by Dr Billy Coop, based on his dream of offering a value-for-money, quality online research service in a simple way that will provide clients with a deeper understanding of their customer’s thinking and needs.
Billy has more than 40 years experience in the field of marketing He has a background in marketing and sales having worked for corporate organisations such as Castrol, Mobil, Stannic and Southern Life and during the past 12 years as an independent marketing strategy consultant, has consulted with organisations in a variety of industries including financial services, wine, lubricants, food manufacturing, and the motor industry, amongst others.
Billy is a full member of the South African Market Research Association (SAMRA), and is a SAMRA Accredited Researcher (SAR Membership No. 013)
Billy holds an MTech and a DTech degree in marketing, and the focus of his doctoral research was on brand identity as a driver of brand commitment. He has also lectured at several institutions on a part-time basis at both undergraduate and post-graduate level programmes for the past 25 years including the IMM, Business School Netherlands, Wits Business School, GIMT and UCT GSB.
